4 Ways to Use the Aputure LS Pro 600X
Product spotlight: One of our favourite pieces of equipment, the Aputure LS 600X Pro, bi-colour meets brightness. Featuring the light dome, reflector, barn doors and lantern attachments. This constant light is perfect for shooting film or stills, on location or in the studio.
Depending on your needs, this piece is extremely versatile. So let’s take a look at how it can be used.
Light dome
The light dome is the perfect way to illuminate your subject with a soft light that wraps around them. This makes it ideal for portrait photography, corporate shots, tutorial videos, conversation scenes, product shots, and even fashion photography.
Reflector
A reflector is a great way to create a light fill, and keep constant lighting throughout the shoot. If you’re shooting film and are trying to steer clear of the flicker, the Aputure Pro 600X is the perfect piece for you.
Barn doors
Barn doors work well in a photography studio with hard light sources like strobes. With the ability to pivot the leaves to adjust lighting, they allow for confined flashlight strips or flash feathering. One of the beautiful things about using barn doors is the unique shapes and effects, and narrow strips of light that can be achieved. They’re great for creative photography where you’d like to manipulate the shape of light to achieve your vision.
Lantern
A lantern is used for video when wide scenes are required to be lit. It can also be used for a one-light portrait setup. The beautiful soft light creates an orb-light softbox. It is used for portrait or interior photography because it creates an ambient feeling in the space and gives a wide and even spill of light and the omnidirectional light is what differs from a standard softbox.
